As soon as you arrive in Rodengo at the entrance to the Pusteria Valley in South Tyrol a fascinating building catches your eye: Rodenegg Castle. It rises at the extreme point of the plateau above the Rienza Gorge and is worth a visit for that reason alone. The exciting cultural journey continues through the palaces, castles, and monasteries in the vicinity in the town of Bressanone in the Isarco Valley with its cathedral and the Episcopal Palace. In the nearby hamlet of Novacella, the Novacella Abbey awaits you with its unique monastery garden.
